The Perfect Pick

Found this beautiful pumpkin that was standing out in front of the others, casting the most wonderful shadow. It was hoping to be taken home I think, so that's what we did.

Round Bouquet

My favorite thing lately has been just following my own intuition and instincts so much more, even when selecting what I'm going to paint. I look through my recent photos or what I have around the house, grab whatever excites me at that moment, and get right to work on it. It's amazing, but I think I've learned that it's just not that serious. It's fun, carefree, and intuitive once you tap into that. There will be some good ones, some amazing ones, and some so-so ones, even some junk... It's all about just being on the journey and I'm definitely enjoying that.

Cosmos & Zinnias

I may have been a bit of a scavenger in searching for these flowers. We've had frost, and am happy to say, clipped these beauties and brought them in before any damage was done. There were a lot of buds left, but their days were numbered and here they will be forever immortalized. :)

Ornamental Kale

Found this beauty in my mom's yard and loved how the light was touching it.

Acoustic Guitar

We hung a few of my husband's guitars on special hooks next to the piano. This one had an interesting shadow on the wall, and I finally found an angle that was exciting to paint. Love the golden colors of the guitar contrasted against the light blue/green wall.

Keys

I knew this one would be a challenge, and it was! I find it so interesting to look at something in a different way like this. I'm happy with the result--although the keys are straight and exact, they're painted pretty loosely.

Elephant

I think painting elephants is one thing I will always come back to. Did this one on a smaller panel and kept it really loose.
