This guy was doing his job so well! He and many females are often in or around our yard and we love when his feathers are open. He is very sure to block our view of the ladies while looking big and fearless at the same time.
This was an enormous commissioned piece for a local designer. She wanted a fun and colorful painting of the Madison skyline for a candy business. Different from what I've done this past year as it's on stretched canvas as opposed to flat panels, and much larger!
These cows were found while in California on our drive from Bolinas to the Point Reyes Lighthouse. It was actually an overcast day, but the sky was bright and the hills couldn't have been any greener. Everything about it was just beautiful.
It doesn't escape me that a painter from Wisconsin found cows in California. :)
One of my inspirations from Sausalito, California. It was a sunny beautiful day, so we were drawn to the piers. Sat outside right on the water and had some fish and ceviche at Fish, a fun spot and delicious lunch.
Hadn't painted in a week and I had a great time with this.
