Birds!

My mom has such an amazing collection of metal, stone, and ceramic birds. They perch on her kitchen windowsill and bring so much color and life to the space. Not to mention you can't help but feel happy just looking at these little cuties!

Barn Owl

I've worked my way into an extremely happy place with my painting lately. Using the brush has started to feel more natural and am loving the looseness that I've been able to achieve thus far. Getting the thick texture in there with brush as I would do with palette knife is something I'm interested in exploring more.

Saw-whet Owl

My family loves owls. We live on a green belt and have heard and seen the larger Great Horned Owls many many times. We can be found trailing after owls at dusk when we see or hear clues that they're around. My husband has owl ears--we can be in the middle of an intense movie scene, and he'll pause it, ears listening. I can never believe it when he says he thought he heard an owl. He's good.
