Snow in Mid-April SOLD

I'm sure we were exposing our legs and arms by this time last year. Luckily the chickadees readying the nesting box near our kitchen window keep reminding me that it is indeed spring... And there is some green breaking through all of the brown. The anticipation and suspense make it bearable, if you happen to be one of those people who love delayed gratification.

These beautiful orange tulips were purchased while shopping at Whole Foods and I adored seeing them in the mornings, all perked up. Then, as the day went on, they relaxed until late afternoon when they were exhausted at the effort of standing all day. Can anyone relate to that? Captured lovely photos of them in all their stages and think I could do about five more paintings.
