Roses & Pomegranate
I thought pomegranate season was over, so was thrilled to find dwarf sized ones at the store this week. Also purchased some mini roses in an antique pink that I thought would look beautiful in my new geometric vase. Some adorable "little" subjects to paint.

Small Bouquet
I often find myself painting flowers on days when the temperatures go below zero. :)

Roses in Vase
Wanted to keep this happy arrangement loose and full of light.

Peonies
There is nothing quite as delicious as the smell of peonies. And it is amazing to have cut peonies in the house. Luckily, these come without ants!

Round Bouquet
My favorite thing lately has been just following my own intuition and instincts so much more, even when selecting what I'm going to paint. I look through my recent photos or what I have around the house, grab whatever excites me at that moment, and get right to work on it. It's amazing, but I think I've learned that it's just not that serious. It's fun, carefree, and intuitive once you tap into that. There will be some good ones, some amazing ones, and some so-so ones, even some junk... It's all about just being on the journey and I'm definitely enjoying that.

Cosmos & Zinnias
I may have been a bit of a scavenger in searching for these flowers. We've had frost, and am happy to say, clipped these beauties and brought them in before any damage was done. There were a lot of buds left, but their days were numbered and here they will be forever immortalized. :)

Vase at Sardine
This was an adorable little vase on the table at one of my favorite restaurants. The lighting was not the best, but the shape and colors on the vase were of interest to me. Also, I just loved the casual and petite flowers that whispered early fall.

Garden Gems
I looked through all of my painting photos this morning, searching for the inspiration that would send me running to my easel. I have thousands of potential paintings, I mean photographs!, but none were calling to me. I went out to take a look at my garden and then looked over my vases because what I honestly wanted was to try and paint glass again.
I clipped a few colors of Zinnias, white and pink Cosmos, some Black-eyed Susans, and a taller pink one that I cannot remember the name of, and tried to make a pleasing arrangement. That was the toughest part! I did my best though, and the good news--I had something to paint that I was extremely excited about. Thanks for looking!
