White Daffodil

I remember painting a daffodil years ago, one of the first "palette knife paintings" I had done. I went on to ONLY paint with palette knife for an entire year. Really can't say how or why I did it, because I was never able to acquire the looseness that I have with the brush. Have since tried to bring it out, it's just not for me. However, I do like to see a lot of brushwork on my paintings, so maybe it stems from that time...

Anyway! More spring inspiration :)

Fennel

Another painting inspired by Eataly in Chicago. Was never a big fennel lover, but gave it another try recently and LOVED it. It is so good raw and cooked--love ingredients like that!

Amaryllis Bulbs

My recent trip to the garden shop was definitely worth it! Not only did I get to absorb all of the warmth and amazing color, there was also much painting inspiration. This is my third painting of flowers from that visit.

Grape Hyacinth Bulbs

Made a stop this past weekend at my local garden shop for some inspiration. These little hyacinth bulbs are one of my favorites. Seeing them made me so excited for spring!
