Bulb of Garlic

Set up some still life options with things I had in the kitchen and was drawn to the white of this garlic. Painting white is magical; there are so many colors to find there. Also found it to be quite dramatic, so decided to keep the darker background.

Red Boat

Love the red colors and great reflection. Looks like the perfect little boat to do some fishing.

Peppercorns

Thought these glass jars of peppercorns would be another excellent excuse to paint glass. :)

Queen Anne's Heirs

The little snow we had this year has melted, and we're busy waiting for green. In the meantime you can find me looking at the wildflower seeds, like these Queen Anne's Lace. Beautiful.

Plucky Pineapple

My husband brought this gorgeous pineapple home from the store and I got so excited! A year ago I never would have attempted to paint something that seemed so complex. However, there was no fear, so decided it had to be big and bold.

Purple & Coral

A friend I taught with asked me to do a commissioned painting for her newly remodeled bathroom. She provided a color palette and wanted flowers in a glass vase. I couldn't pass up another opportunity to paint glass and felt spring with this one! :)

Tea Kettle

I fell in love with this image and loved the fluid shape of the tea kettle. Thought it would make a great challenge.
